i love traditions.
i love the sense of nostalgia that accompanies them.
the way traditions make you feel like you're right at home, no matter where in the world you are.
and we've recently begun a new one.
last fall we met my cousin and her family half way between our two houses,
and enjoyed an exploration, farmers market, and dinner out.
pure loveliness!
nothing fancy, just visiting, talking, walking, shopping, picture taking, and eating.
enjoying the best that life has to offer.
this year we did it again.
the tradition begins!

we meet here (mantua reservoir)
play for a while.
then go to the farmers market in brigham city.
pick out pumpkins and stock up on other harvesty goodies.
(this year it was butternut squash, spaghetti squash, and summer squash)
and then go here for fried chicken
and delicious rolls with the best raspberry butter.

how cute are these guys? i love olivers hair as he rides that frog!

i am completely enamored!
both with the handsome fellow pictured above,
and that charming yellow & white striped circus style tent above our favorite market.

oh the colors, the sounds, the smells.
aren't those corn stalks lovely? and the color on those petite pumpkins!

one picture which actually turned out. phew!

thanks for starting a tradition with us, we love it!
